In London I discovered all kinds of artists many of whom were as Matisse or Gauguin and often as Picasso as well as Juan Gris. Because in the cultural shift Europeans gripped modern art highly and still in fact do use their direct intellect and cultural histories as an artistic advantage. I personally would say they do it far more often than an American I've ever seen.

I had the privilege of being invited to study illustration abroad from my city of Philadelphia to London as well as Paris. The experience greatly altered my thinking and revolutionized my life and I aim to continue to apply the techniques and skills that I learned. One thing immediately that I noticed upon meeting several illustrators was their seemingly endless patience. European illustrators have a more passionate and simplistic, cubic freedom at times than American illustrators who are in the midst of creating a nearly solidified American aesthetic. Its truly remarkable that I learned from Europeans how to break style and break appropriateness and experience more freedom through simplicity and self awareness.
