In my Retro Futurist World History segment I decided to invent or describe historical stories each going further back in time and each portraying a different ancient culture from North Africa, the Middle East and the Mediterranean where early civilizations blossomed. The twist was making these ancient scenes look more like the future than the past using color theory and a sense of ambitious adventure. The Segment begins in orange with Helios who comes down from the sky in Macedon riding on a four-horse chariot. His arrival in a ball of flames surprises citizens of Macedon. In the next painting A Minoan Princess on the islands that would later become Greece escapes her handlers to find out what secrets the dolphins know as she goes swimming behind them to see where they head. In the next painting Assyrians have become lost in a massive desert. It is a beautiful scene to the caravan but they hope to soon enough find their way to civilization. In Egypt a very tall king has spent many years in the temples praying to the gods but no success has manifested in his kingdom. Not until one day the entities send him a message to fetch all of his cats and bring them to the countryside for a meeting. He brings his cats without hesitation not sure what to expect. In Israel an ancient creation story is told about a woman who sought the forbidden fruit of Earthly knowledge. She dreamt of becoming divine even though she was already living in paradise with docile animals but she was no match for the serpent who has knowledge of many things. In the 6th painting of the Indus Valley a young adult man was soon to become an enlightened priest as he discovers the secrets to life and the necessity of gods and how God is in everything in nature. His transcendent epiphanies would soon become the way of his people as he floats the river while Shiva watches him from a tree nearby. The next painting depicts the pre-flood society of Atlantis where men are advanced and scholarly. When a politician arrives preaching message of world unity and making sacrifices, the audience soon discovers him to be an infiltrator and a brave woman shoots the politician with fire before the entire crowd's eyes.
